I played for decades in the Greek first division, ranked as high as #7. As a coach, players I trained became #1 in Greece and #2 in the world. That was how I earned my living. Meditation was always the most important thing and the purpose of my life — it came first then, it comes first now, and unlike a career in table tennis it does not end. Now I am putting everything into two apps: one for meditation, one for the game. That is the name: a modern monk — the practice without the robes, without the monastery, in the middle of ordinary life; and electronic, because I use modern technology to verify an otherwise subjective experience: a Muse EEG headband, and now my own app.
